Buzzard Day ~ Saturday, June 12, 2010
Buzzard Day is an annual event held the second weekend of June. It is a celebration of the return of the Turkey Vulture (buzzard), who is an inhabitant of the park.
The day begins with a hearty pancake and sausage breakfast prepared by the Glendive Kiwanis followed by our popular Buzzard Day Runs. For brave souls, we boast Montana's Toughest 10K, a 5K, Kid's Run, and Fun Run/Walk. Attendees can participate in kite flying, botany and geology hikes, demonstrations, a water balloon launch, wagon rides, an art show, children's games and food. The evening is wrapped up with a dinner and a concert at the amphitheater. Buzzard Day is a full day of fun for the whole family!
